## 03 — How it resolves

### Tier × resource × time = the rate that lands on the receipt.

Every booking resolves the same four-step lookup. No hidden surcharges, no per-customer haggling spreadsheets, no “why did this cost $58?” from a member at month-end.

- Promo codes apply on top, after the engine resolves base rate
- Stacking rules: max-discount caps, exclusion windows, single-use enforcement
- Audit log records every input that produced the final rate
- Member-portal receipt shows the breakdown — no support ticket asking what each line means

1. **01 Pick the tier**  
   Day Pass, Member, Pro, or a custom tier you've created. The tier sets the base discount profile.

2. **02 Pick the resource**  
   Atrium, Studio, Boardroom — each has its own rate card. Inheritance from a parent location card is opt-in.

3. **03 Pick the time window**  
   Weekday daytime, evening, weekend. Up to 4 windows per row. Surge rules can add a 5th when utilization spikes.

4. **04 Final rate**  
   The engine resolves tier × resource × window, applies surge, and stamps the line item. Front desk sees the full breakdown.
